New website helps sufferers and those close to them

Part of my current job as a journalist writing about health involves following new initiatives by government into mental health. It was with some enthusiasm that I learned of the launch of a new website (called mindhealthconnect) designed as a one-stop online resource for people experiencing mental illness along with those close to them.

My initial appraisal is that the website is very useful for people looking for relevant information and further help. The site includes sections for “me” and “someone I know”, with sections including listings of online therapy programs, audio and video resources, links to online communities, and information for those needing urgent assistance.
